Where I am: Mistissini, Quebec

I am sitting at a table in front of a window looking out at the trees that are slowly turning from dark green to yellow, to soon to be red, in Mistassini, Quebec. I am here, again, as an artist in residence with the Mikw Chiyam program this fall of 2017. This residency I am going to be focusing on working on creating poetry posters and going more in depth with storytelling. We will be experimenting with oral storytelling through poetry videos, and YouTube story times. The kids will also be working on photo stories and creating books. It is going to be a BUSY six weeks but I can't wait!
